The cheeks in the next pair of frames undergo a similar fade-out transition, except that the top circle in each green check is made a slightly darker tint so that it shows up on the "dead" face.

Pink hearts would look incongruous with a green face, so the hearts combine the zoom-in and fade-out transitions. First they are copied to the frame for the green face, and made a dull slate blue color. Then they are shrunk down to 1% of their original size using the Transform Each dialog, so that the larger heart, which is 18 pts by 12 pts in the pink version, is only 0.18 by 0.12 pts in the gray-blue version, and thus effectively invisible at anything less than 500% zoom.
