Her obituary reported:

“Catherine Foutz Prince Bond, 73, of Kirtland, N.M., died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, N.M.

A celebration of life will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Kirtland with Bishop Gale Smith officiating. Burial will be at Kirtland-Fruitland Community Cemetery under the direction of Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Anthony Pettit, Matt Pettit, Mikey Prince, Austin Pettit-Prince, Brandon Prince and Chuck Hesser. Honorary pallbearers include Phil Prince, Christopher Pettit, Everett Hesser, Arliss Foutz, Phil Foutz, Jeff Pettit, Allen Prince and Jerry Prince.

Family visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Brewer, Lee and Larkin Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Born April 22, 1933, in Farmington, N.M., to Leroy and Gertrude Foutz, she attended school in Kirtland and later graduated from Kirtland High School. She owned and operated Prince Trading Company in Kirtland for many years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society, Sunday school, Primary, Young Women’s, Homemaking Leader and a Stake Family History Specialist. She received many first place ribbons, judge’s choice and honorable mention at the county and state fairs for afghans. Her other hobbies included playing the organ, crafts, crocheting and rose gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas W. Bond, of Kirtland; parents, William H. and Julia Fleck, of Farmington, N.M.; daughters, Desirae Pettit (Jeff), of Rio Rancho, N.M., Denise Cantrell, of McAlester; Deborah Lynn Bond, of Albuquerque, N.M.; sons, Allen Prince (Lavette), of Bloomfield, N.M., Jerry Prince (Sherry), of Kirtland, N.M., Phil Prince, of Kirtland, NM; sister, Eleanor Ashcroft (Kay), of Kirtland; brothers, Phil Foutz (Ann), of Orem, Utah, Arliss Foutz (Bette Jean), of Socorro; 12 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Gertrude Foutz; Walter Allen Prince in 1978, brothers Keith Foutz and Cal Foutz and a grandson, Christopher Pettit in 2000.”
