Notes for Samuel McKee & Ida Mae (Family)
Rowan County Marriages, Book 3, p. 333, records marriage on 7 Sep 1899 of Samuel M. Hall, age 31, residence Morehead, farmer, born Rowan Co., father born Bath Co., mother born Indiana, to Ida Mae Riddle, age 28, residence Morehead, born and parents born in Bath Co., at Green Baldridge's by James H. Gregory, witnesses Fair Warren & Green Baldridge, listed as second marriage for both bride and groom. (It is rather unusual that Ida's surname is recorded as Riddle even though she was previously married to Samuel Elam, and stayed married to him long enough to have two children.)
