Notes for Ambrose C. Peter Phillips
Family on pp.11-12 of The Genealogy of William Tobias Phillips. Ambrose was raised in Floyd County, but started his family in Nicholas Co., Virginia (now West Virginia) and was probably married there. The family moved to Carroll Co. around 1839. In 1860, he was constable of the Sulphur Springs district. Elza Cox states that Ambrose died in 1865, but that is inconsistent with census records.
Notes for Lucinda ("Liny") Jennings
I would like to find the ancestry of Lucinda Jennings, as she is probably descended from my 7th great grandparents, Jonathan Jennings and Diannah Bobbitt.
