Notes for Richard White
On 2 Nov 1812 Richard White signed the marriage bond for $150 as surety for the marriage of his daughter Celia to Peter Slusher. Montgomery Co. VA marriage records.

IGI batch 8721008, p. 67, film 1396389, lists marriage of Richard White and Fanny Riddle on 18 Aug 1789 in Shenandoah Co., VA. Could these be the parents of Celia White? (The marriage date is two years before her date of birth.) If so, it is interesting to find another Riddle line here. It is only a remote possibility, though, because Shenandoah Co. is a lot farther north than Franklin and Montgomery Co.
Census
The 1800 through 1820 censuses do not list any Richard White in Frankin Co. or Montgomery Co., Virginia. They do, however, list a Richard White in Washington Co., Virginia, which was just west of Grayson Co., which was south of Montgomery Co. (Frankin Co. was to the east of Montgomery Co., and Washington Co. to the southwest.)

1810 census of Washington Co., Va,
Rich’d White, males: 2 10 to 15, 1 16 to 25; 1 45 and older; females: 5 under 10, 1 16 to 25.

The above looks like too many children to belong to the woman age 16 to 25. It is probably either a widowed father, or a second marriage of an older man to a younger woman with all the adolescant males being children of his first marriage.

1820 census of Washington Co., Va, enumerated 7 Aug 1820, lists:
Richard White, Sr., males: 1 under 10, 1 16 to 25, 1 45 and older; females: 3 10 to 15, 3 16 to 15, 1 26 to 45.

Other White families on the same page include a John White and a Robert White, both with age spreads that look more likely to be brothers of Richard rather than sons (that is, they both include 1 male 45+ and several adolescents.)
