"Private Henry Jones served 1776 Rev War under Capt. H. Lyne - Col. P. Hariston - Henry Line - Peter Harston - discharged 21 Nov 1776 Long Island or Holston. Widow Cassandra Jones Ad 160 Acres July 2/56 (Dodge)"
"David N. Howell (of Patrick Co.) Justice of Peace when Jesse Jones made statement re: Henry Jones service. 28 April 1853, Floyd Co. VA" (this Jesse is Henry's nephew)
"4 June 1853 - Cassandra Jones age 76 in April 1855"
"May 24, 1854 - Pension office said satisfied as to service but not as to length of time."
