Anderson C. Quisenberry in his article in Colonial Families of the United States, lists as a daughter of William Quisenberry and Agnace Morton "Jane, m. __ Smith, and settled in Kentucky". (In his Genealogical Memoranda, published earlier, he said that "nothing is now known" of Jane.) Orange Co. records do not list any marriage of a Jane Quisenberry and a Mr. Smith. So the reference by Anderson Quisenberry may represent one of his informant’s misremembrance of the marriage of Joyce Quisenberry and Oswald Smith. But it could be that Smith is correct, and the marriage record is simply missing.
