Morgan Co. marriage records list marriage of John T. Brown to Polly Carr on 13 Feb 1825, and to Caty Crose on 6 May 1833.

This John Brown is probably a brother of my 5G grandfather James Brown, but I have no proof. The circumstantial evidence is that they were living next door to each other in the 1850 census, which for men who share a surname is often indicative of splitting property inherited from a parent.

1840 census of Morgan Co., Ky, lists on p. 9, line 7:
John Brown, 1 male 40-49, 1 female 30-39, 1 female 5-9, 3 males under 5, 1 female under 5.

Neighboring households include Joseph Utterback, John Utterback, Andrew Manley, and Mordecai Pierce.

1850 census of Morgan Co., Ky, records on page 103, as family #258 (between Thomas Brown age 41 at #257, and James Brown age 67 at #259):
John T. Brown, blacksmith, 55, b. Virginia; Catharine, 46, b. Ohio; Lueda, 15; John, 14; Solomon, 13; Dorothy, 11; William, 10; James, 9; Andrew, 5. All children born in Kentucky.

1860 census of Morgan Co., Ky, records as family #69 (between John C. Brown son of James Brown at #68, and John Link at #70):
John T. Brown, 65; Catherine, 54; Loueda, 25; John J., 24; Catherine, 23; Soleman, 22; Dolly, 21; William, 20; James, 18; Andrew, 15. (The younger Catherine is John J.’s wife, but this census doesn’t list relationships.)
