Notes for Isaac Henry Quesinberry
His WWI draft registration card, issued in 1917/1918 (the images on Ancestry do not show the side of the card that has the date it was filed), says Isaac Henry Quesinberry, age 35, residence Morehead, Ky, born 30 Oct 1883, occupation farm laborer, employer and nearest relative Lawson Quesinberry. In the citizenship section, “native born” is checked, but on the space that asks “if not a citizen of the U.S., of what nation are you a citizen or subject?” has been written “disenfranchised”. I doubt very seriously that Isaac had lost his citizenship, but perhaps he had lost his voting rights due to conviction of a felony.

His death certificate (Vol. 47, #23214 ) states Isaac Quesinberry, age 59 years 11 months 27 days, born 25 Oct 1882 Rowan Co., died 22 Oct 1942 in Clearfield, Rowan Co., Ky, usual residence Walterboro, South Carolina, laborer, married, husband of Clara Quesenberry, father Lawson Quesinberry, mother’s maiden name Annie Coffey, both born in Ky, cause of death coronary occlusion, informant D. H. Marshall, Clearfield, Ky.

Walterboro is in Colleton Co., South Carolina. D. H. Marshall was Isaac’s brother-in-law, husband of his sister Malicca.
