His obituary from the Welch Daily News:

Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday for Jason Pettit, 73, of Iaeger, who died Wednesday at his home of a long illness. The Rev. Dave Carter, the Rev. Oliver Roberts, the Rev. Arthur Lewis and the Rev. Allen Click will officiate at the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Iaeger. Burial will follow in the Iaeger Memorial Cemetery in Roderfield.

Born Aug 2, 1902, he was the son of the late John and Nickety Trent Pettit. He was a retired employee of General Motors Corporation of Flint, Mich., and was a member of Jesus Name Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister. Survivors include his wife, May Blankenship Pettit of Iaeger, and one brother, Willie of Salem, VA.
