Notes for Lewis H. Riddle
His WWI draft registration card, issued in 1917/1918 (the images on Ancestry do not show the side of the card that has the date it was filed), says Lewis Riddle, age 41, residence Morehead, Rowan Co, Ky, born 17 Oct 1876, occupation farmer, self-employed, nearest relative Allie Riddle, Morehead, Ky.
The 1900 census says his date of birth is Sept 1887, but that is inconsistent with other records, and the birthdates in that census are largely fictional.
Index to Kentucky Death Records lists Lewis Riddle, d. 23 Oct 1963, age 87, in Rowan Co., residence same, certificate Vol. 56, #27590.
Jean Hudson's cemetery notes include in Coffey Cemetery, W. Flemingsburg Rd, Rowan Co. adjacent stones for:
Lewis Riddle 1876 - 1963
Allie Riddle 18 Jan 1883 - 18 Sep 1931
Kenny Ray Riddle Feb 1949 - May 1949
The same stones are listed under Crix Cemetery on Rt. 1167, except that the dates for Allie are given as 3 Jan 1883 - 12 Sep 1931. Obviously the stones from one cemetery were moved to the other, but I did not make note of which one was the original and which the destination.

Her death certificate (#33731) says Anna McClain Elam Riddle, d. 21 Dec 1987, age 98, in Morehead, Rowan Co., widowed, b. 27 Oct 1889, parents John Wallace McClain and Marcelete Day, informant "the grandchildren of Mrs. Riddle", address Tolliver Road, Morehead, cause of death septicemia due to urinary tract infection, burial Carey Cemetery, Farmers, Ky.
