Pettit, William H., 30, proprietor of grocery store; Fannie E., wife, 24; Alberta L., dau, 7/12. All born Ky Ky Ky. (The “H” is clearly not an A, because the enumerator makes round A’s. Perhaps he misheard A as H.)

They are sharing a house with Lester Gulley, who is married to William’s sister Pearl, at family #12/15.

1930 census of Boone Co., Ky, Burlington precinct, enumerated 3 April, lists on p. 2A as family #37/39:

(The enumerator forgot to reenter the family surname for daughters Mary Jane and Kathryn, causing them to be misindexed as Robinson.) The next household is still that of Lester Gulley and Pearl Pettit. After Lester and Pearl is the family of Albert and Fannie’s daughter Laura and her husband James Ogden.
