His obituary in the Portland Oregonian of Tuesday, Nov. 23, 1993 reported:

Carl Quesinberry died of congestive heart failure Friday in his North Portland home. An informal memorial gathering will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday in the Lombard Little Chapel of the Chimes. Mr. Quesinberry was 70.

He was born Jan. 19, 1923, in Morehead, Ky. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He had lived in the Portland area for many years until 1977, and then lived in Reedsport for about 12 years before moving back to Portland in 1990.

Mr. Quesinberry worked as a truck driver for Condor Freight Lines in San Jose, Calif., for 21 years. He then worked as a diesel mechanic for 23 years until his retirement in 1989.

Survivors include his sons, Carl L. ''Rusty'' of Honolulu and Monte C. and John L., both of Portland, W. Kay Gardner of Brigham City, Utah, and Val H. Gardner, Terry L. Gardner and Mike W. Glass, all of San Jose, Calif.; daughters, Julie A. Blodgett of Portland, Vada L. of St. Louis, Lana V. Crabtree of Yakima and Jill Marie Broyles of White Swan, Wash.; sister, Vada B. Klisch of Portland; 29 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.”
