Notes for Vesta Riddle
Curiously, the 1900 census does not list Vesta with the children of John & Sophia Riddle. (It says they are the parents of six children, and six are listed, the youngest being Edward age 14. Vesta would be about 11 in 1900.)

Her obituary in the Morehead News says "Mrs. Vesta Lambert Fall, 74, a native of Rowan County, died Thursday in Detroit, Michigan, where she had made her home for several years. Mrs. Fall was born June 29, 1889, a daughter of the late John and Sophia Thomas Riddle. In 1906 she was married to Floyd Lambert, who passed away July 8, 1947.

Surviving this marriage are these children: Ollie Lambert, Morehead; Mrs. Freda Johnson, Iroquois, W. Va.; Estill Lambert, Lincoln Park, Mich.; Leo Lambert, Sophia, W. Va.; Chas. Lambert, Midway, W. Va.; Glennis Lambert, Dearborn, Mich.; and Mrs. Grace Vaught, Newport News, Va.

On Nov. 13, 1951 she was married to Arthur Fall of Detroit. Mrs. Fall was a member of the Crix Baptist Church and of the Ecorse Free Will Baptist Church, Detroit. Funeral services were held Sunday in the Free Will Baptist Church, with Rev. Zora Trent and Rev. Ted Green officiating. Burial was in the Crix Cemetery with arrangements by Lane Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Wathan Armstrong, Paul Vaught, Gary Lambert, Vernon Lambert, and Roy Lambert.
