Notes for Jurelda Lee Ham
Her given name is spelled many ways, sometimes beginning with a Z and sometimes a J. Some online family trees give her middle name as Susan, but I know of no primary source for that.
Her death certificate records Jewelda Lee Kelley, age 59 years 5 months 29 days, born 1 July 1845 in Rowan Co., father Christopher Ham, born in Rowan Co., mother’s maiden name Rebeca Reed, birthplace don’t know, cause of death cerebral hemorrhage, informant Melvin Ham, Morehead, burial in Mt. Pisgah.
Rowan Co. was not formed until 1856, so the birthplace citations apparently mean the part of Fleming County that was incorporated into Rowan Co. (around Triplett, etc.)

My connections to this family are that their son Henry Allen married my grandmother’s first cousin Ida B. Hall, and their grandson Jesse (son of William) married my grandfather’s second cousin Nanna Pettit, and their granddaughter Ida Little (daughter of their daughter Rebecca) married my grandmother’s double first cousin Ollie Quesenberry.
