Notes for Wyatt Adkins
There was another Wyatt Adkins in Morgan Co. about the same birthdate, son of William & Nancy Adkins, who died single in 1852, and one about 4 years older, son of Howard Adkins, so be careful not to get them confused. (The older one married Matilda Adkins on 6 Apr 1846.)
Notes for Annis Cock
Her death certificate records Annis Adkins, age 85, born 1834 in Elliott Co., Ky, died 8 Dec 1915 in Elk Fork, Morgan Co., Ky, widow, father Tobias Cox, mother’s maiden name Emma Stigall, both born in Virginia, cause of death Bright’s disease, informant John Adkins, Crockitt, Ky.
Notes for Wyatt & Annis (Family)
Morgan Co. marriage records list the marriage on 27 July 1854 of Wyett Adkins, age 24, b. Pike Co., Ky, to Annis Cock, age 22, born Grayson Co., Virginia, at Tobias Cock’s by Rufus Humphrey, witnesses William James and Morgan Barnett.
Census
1860 census of Morgan Co., Ky, district 1, West Liberty P.O., enumerated 26 June, lists on p. 42 as family #254/251:
Wyatt Adkins, 31, farmer; Annis, 26, b. Va; Francis M., 3 (male); Rodah, 2; Alexander, 2/12. All except Annis born in Ky.

Annice is probably really older; she was recorded as 18 in the 1850 census, and the birth spacing is tight enough on her siblings that there is not room for her to be younger than 27.

1870 census of Elliott Co., Ky, precinct 5, Newfoundland P.O., enumerated 17 Aug, lists on p. 22 as family #155:
Adkins, Wyett, 42, farmer; Annie, 32; Rhoda, 12; Alexander, 10; Andrew J., 7; Tobias, 5; Lydia, 3; William R., 1. All listed as born in Kentucky, although it should be Virginia for Annie.

1880 census of Morgan Co., Ky, Elk Fork precinct, enumerated 8 June, lists on p. 11 as family #61:
Adkins, Wyatt, 56, farmer, b. Ky Va Va; Annice, 53, wife, b. Ky Va Va; Rodah, 20, dau; Alexander, 18, son; Andrew, 17, son; Tobias, 13, son; Lydia, 12, dau; Rachel, 5, dau. All children born Ky Ky Ky.

1900 census of Elliott Co., Ky, Sandy Hook precinct, enumerated 14 June, lists on p. 12B as family #192/195:
Adkins, Tobias, 34, b. Apr 1866, farmer; Fannie, wife, 26, b. Dec 1873, married 1 year, mother of 1 child, 1 living; Wm, son, 2/12, b. Mar 1900; Wyett, father, 70, b. May 1830, farm laborer; Anice, mother, 64, b. Feb 1836, married 42 years, mother of 8 children, 6 living. All listed as born Ky Ky Ky, although in reality Wyatt’s and Annice’s parents were all born in Virginia, and probably Annice as well (if the 1850 census is correct.)
