Notes for Warren G. Mitchell
I am entering Warren’s family into this database in case he turns out to be a descendant of Samuel Mitchell and Rebecca Pettit.
Census
1850 census of Bath Co., Ky, Wyoming precinct, p. 56, taken 20 July, lists as family #34:
Warren G. Mitchell, 35; Ingeline, 27; Lucy A., 5; Louisa, 3; E., 1 (female); Silas McLain, 14. Warren born in Bourbon Co., Ky, all others born in Bath Co., Ky.

1860 census of Bath Co., Ky, lists as family #658:
Warren Mitchell, 45; Adalade, 40; Lucy, 15; Louesa, 13; Arabella, 10; Nancy, 7; Adalade, 3; Annie, 5 mo. All born in Kentucky.

At first I thought that Adalade age 40 in this census was most likely the same person as Ingeline age 27 in the 1850 census. But the 1900 census lists Adelaide as the mother of only three children (of whom 2 were living in 1900.) If that data was correct, then Adelaide must be the mother only of Anna, Sophia, and Malinda. It seems somewhat odd that Warren and Angeline would name their youngest daughter the same name as someone who Warren would then marry after Angeline died, but perhaps she was a close friend of the family.

See Adelaide’s notes for later census readings on this family.
Notes for Mary Angeline Cook
Her maiden name is known from the birth record of her daughter Nancy and the death record of her daughter Louisa.
