Rowan Co. marriage book 6, p. 533, records the marriage on 21 Sep 1909 of Enoch Lewis, 30, son of Isaac Lewis born Morgan Co. and Rhoda Lewis, to Maye Tabor, 23, daughter of B. L. Tabor born Bath Co. and Sarah Tabor born Letcher Co., at S. F. Moore’s (bride’s mother Mrs. Moore) by Harvey Trent, witnesses C. W. Tabor, Ed Thomas, Lacy Tabor.

This was a double wedding of sisters to brothers, as the marriage of Jesse Lewis to Bertha Tabor was recorded the same day with all information the same except the names and ages of the bride and groom.

1910 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Hogtown precinct, enumerated 30 April, lists on p. 12A as family #189:
Louis, Enoch, 31, farmer; May, wife, 25, first marriage for both, married 1 year, mother of 1 child, 1 living; Holley, son, 02. All born Ky Ky Ky.

This enumerator consistently spelled Lewis as Louis. The preceding family is headed by Enoch’s brother Samuel, and the five following families are headed by his parents and four other brothers (James, Jesse, John, and Thomas.)

1920 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Hogtown precint, enumerated 24 Jan, lists on p. 13A as family #237/240:
