Census
1900 census of Clay Co., West Virginia, Henry district, enumerated 8 June, lists on p. 8A as family #131/140:
Myers, John T., 40, b. July 1859, day laborer; Bettie, wife, 35, b. Aug 1864, married 8 years, mother of 2 children, 1 living; Clarence, son, 18, b. Apr 1882, single, day laborer. All born Ky Ky Ky.

The number of years married is not consistent with their marriage record. It should be 18.

1910 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Farmers precinct, enumerated 15 April, lists on p. 2A as family #31/35:
Myers, John T., 50, grocer at retail grocery; Elizabeth, wife, 44, first marriage for both, married 29 years, mother of 2 children, 1 living; Choate, Miranda, 13, ward. All born Ky Ky Ky.

1920 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Farmers precinct, enumerated 26 Jan, lists on p. 10A as family #180/180:
Myers, Bettie, 50, b. Ky U.S. U.S., widowed, keeper of boarding house; Ferrol, granddau, 12, b. Ky Ky Ky.

Although Bettie is listed as the keeper of a boarding house, the only other residents of the same dwelling are her son Clarence and his family, listed with their own family number, as 180/181. Since Ferrol is also Clarence’s daughter, it seems somewhat odd that she would be assigned to Bettie’s family rather than his. The household description in 1930 is very similar, with Ferrell being listed between Bettie and Clarence, except that they are all given the same family number.

1930 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Farmers precinct, enumerated Apr 16, lists on pp. 2A-2B as family #35:
Myers, Betty, 66, widowed, age at first marriage 16, proprietor of hotel; Fearl, granddau, 22; Clarence, son, 48, age at first marriage 18; Gertie, daughter in law, 41, age at first marriage 18; J. T. grandson, 21; Josephine, granddau, 15; Lorraine, granddau, 10; Elmer, grandson, 9; James, grandson, 7; Clarence Jr., grandson, 4. All born Ky Ky Ky.
