His obituary reported “Clayton Goodman, age 70, of Rock Fork Road, Morehead, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

Born April 28, 1939, in Rowan County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Hollie Goodman and Hazel Black Goodman Kidd. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Goodman and three step brothers, Estill Kidd, Gene Kidd, and Emory Kidd.

Mr. Goodman is survived by his wife of 46 years, Viola Wescott Goodman, whom he married September 14, 1963; two daughters, Bridgett Fultz and husband Scotty and Marcia Glover and husband Danny; one son, Brian Goodman; and three grandchildren, Tiffany Fultz, Jadon Fultz, and Brady Goodman, all of Morehead, Kentucky.

Also surviving are four sisters, Juanita Slusher of Merrillville, Indiana, Jewell Swartz of Morehead, Kentucky, Marie Dehart of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, and Della Johnson of Ypsilanti, Michigan; one brother, Roger Kidd of Morehead, Kentucky; and three step brothers, Clyde Kidd and Ellis Kidd, both of Morehead, Kentucky, and Claude Kidd of Wauseon, Ohio.

Mr. Clayton retired from Morehead State University after 26 years of service.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ray Glover and Rev. Tim Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Crix Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Black, Junior Black, Ronnie Swartz, Danny Boyd, Danny Glover, and Scotty Fultz.”
