His obituary in the Morehead News of 19 Aug 1997 says:

"Malcolm Leroy Jones, 76, of 127 Hungry Hollow Road, Morehead, died Saturday, Aug. 16, at the St. Claire Medical Center, Morehead.

He was born Sept. 23, 1920 in Rowan County to the late John W. and Nettie Rose Myers Jones.

He was the former owner of the Acme Stone of Olive Hill, and the Jones & Burchett Limestone Quarry in Menifee County, served with the U. S. Army Air force during WW II and was a member of the First Church of God.

Surviving are his wife, Wilma Terrell Jones; one son, Tom Jones of Morehead; a daughter, Mary Jane Sadowski of Brighton, Mich.; one brother, Pete Jones of Morehead and a sister, Pearl M. Reynolds of Clovis, N.M. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Tommy Jones, Sharon Sadowski, Linda Sadowski, Justin Lacy and Shenna Lacy.

Funeral services were scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20 at the Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Stephen D. Carney officiating with burial at the Brown Cemetery with full military rites conducted by Morehead American Legion Post Number 126. Pallbearers: Joe Stamper, Tom James, Larry Fannin, Ernest Wells, Orbie Hargett, Vernon Adkins, Don Rivers, Cledith Middleton, Gary Knipp, Rick Ruth and Milton Goodsby."
