Notes for Marion Myers
Marion Myers killed Joseph Henry Sorrell in 1912, while Marion was Marshall of the town of Farmers, Kentucky. Apparently it must have been ruled a justifiable homicide of some sort, since in the 1920 census he was still living in Farmers. There was no newspaper in Morehead until the 1920’s; I should see if the Bath County Democrat and/or the Owingsville Outlook had a newspaper article on it.

His death certificate records Marion Myers, age 64, birthdate blank, born in Bath Co., died 23 Feb 1932 in Farmers, Rowan Co., Ky, married, father Joe Myers, mother’s maiden name Lou Staten, cause of death rectal cancer, informant Mrs. Florence Myers, Farmers, Ky, burial in Jones Cemetery, Salt Lick.
