1880 census of Boone Co., West Virginia, Washington district, enumerated 9 June, lists on p. 10 as family #99:
Leander Trent, 22, b. Va Va Va, farmer; Elizabeth, 24, wife, b. Va Va Va; James F., 1, son, b. WV Va Va; Linzy Mullins, 24, b. Va Va Va.
The preceding household is that of Leander’s brother James F., with a son Leander age 1. Apparently they both had sons the same year, and named them after each other. The Linzy Mullins in this household is the brother of James F. Trent’s wife Eliza.
1900 census of Lincoln Co., West Virginia, Jefferson district, enumerated 30 June, lists on p. 17A as family #296:
