Census Notes for John Wesley & Nancy (Family)
1870 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Christy Creek precinct, enumerated 11 June, lists on p. 11 as family #63:
Amburgey, John, 33, farmer; Nancy, 29; Marcena, 4; Serena, 2; Ragland, William, 34, dry goods merchant. All born in Kentucky.

1880 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Christy Creek precinct, enumerated 1 June, lists on p. 42 as family #287/310:
Amburgey, John, 44, farmer; Nancy, 38, wife; Merrena, 14, dau; Serrena, 11, dau; Liliann, 9, dau; Leleann, 9, dau; Artha Candace, 7, dau; John E., 5, son; Carl Arzra, 4, son; Nancy E., 2, dau; Jareiansaa E., 1/12, b. April, son. All born Ky Ky Ky.

The handwriting is very distinct, and the spelling of all the names is as transcribed.

In 1900 five of the children of this marriage are recorded with John and his second wife Lydia Day:

1900 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Morehead precinct, enumerated 29 June, lists on p. 23A as family #439:
Amburgy, John, 63, b. May 1837, farmer; Lyda, wife, 68, b. Apr 1832, married 2 years, mother of 5 children, 5 living; Lorena, dau, 32, b. Apr 1868; Lillie, dau, 30, b. March 1870; Lela, dau, 30, b. March 1870; Kansas, dau, 24, b. June 1876; Dollie, dau, 20, b. Apr 1880. All born Ky Ky Ky, all daughters single.

Lorena would be the daughter listed as Serena/Serrena in 1870 and 1880, Lillie and Lela would be Lilian and Leleann, and Kansas would be Artha Candace. The daughter Dollie is strange, because the birth date is the same as that recorded for the son Jareiansaa E in the 1880 census.
