Notes for Emily E. Brown
Morgan Co. birth records on LDS microfilm #0216835 record the birth on 11 May 1853 of Emily Brown, daughter of John M. Brown and Rebecca Croce. (All other records are consistent in using “C” as the middle initial for the John Brown who was married to Rebecca Crose, but this record definitely says “M”.)
Census
In 1920 she was listed as Emma Sexton, age 69, living with her son Jim Will.
Notes for Obediah S. & Emily E. (Family)
There is no marriage record for Obediah and Emily in either Morgan County or Bath County marriage records, so they were probably married in Rowan Co. (Rowan Co. marriage records from the 1870’s were lost in a courthouse fire.)
Census
1880 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Pearce precinct, lists as family #226:
Obediah Sexton, 27, farmer; Emily, 25, wife; John, 7, son; Elizabeth, 5, dau; James H., 1, son.
All born Ky Ky Ky. (The ages for both Obediah and Emily are two years too young, judging by the 1860 and 1870 censuses.)

1900 census of Morgan Co., Ky, district 6, enumerated 2 June, lists on p. 2B as family #32/33:
Sexton, Obediah, 51, b. Feb 1849; Emely E., wife, 48, b. May 1852, married 30 years, mother of 3 children, 3 living; Tolliver, Etta, servant, 15, b. Mar 1885. All born Ky Ky Ky.
