Notes for Chester William Dehart
His birth certificate lists William Chester DeHart born Apr. 8, 1925 in Scioto County, Ohio, the son of Robert DeHart and Julia Rakes. Both parents born in Morehead, Ky. (From Debbie Howard, who identifies the certificate as “Ky. Reg. Dis. No-1160, Pri. Reg. Dis. No.-8450, File No.-37665, Reg. No.-305.” I don’t know what all those abbreviations stand for, but from the “Ky. Reg.” it sounds like the birth may have been registered in Kentucky even though it took place in Ohio.) Although the birth certificate has William as his first name, in my database I am following the name order he used as an adult, because it will match more records.

Also from Debbie Howard, his death certificate records Chester W. DeHart died Dec. 31, 1994 in Ross County, Ohio. Born Apr 8, 1925 son of Robert DeHart and Julia Rakes. Informant Nancy DeHart, wife.
