Notes for Stephen B. Cornett
The LDS Ancestral File records the birthdate of Archelaus’ son Stephen as 12 Oct 1822. (No indication of what the primary source for the birthdate is. Births were not being recorded in Grayson Co. that early.) The date is consistent with the 1850 and 1860 censuses.
Census
1850 census of Grayson Co., Virginia, 19th district, p. 214, lists as family #756:
Cornutt, Stephen, 27, farmer; Rhoda, 59; John C., 20; William C., 16. All born in Virginia.
Based on the estate settlement for Archelaus Cornett, Stephen, John and William are brothers. According to the Ancestral File, though, Stephen’s mother’s name was Mary Bourne. So Rhoda may be the mother only of John and William (which would also be a reason for listing her after Stephen, instead of as the head of household.)
Notes for Stephen B. & Martha Gilmore (Family)
This marriage is not recorded in Grayson Co. marriage books. The approximate date is based on the age of their daughter Rosamund in the 1860 census, and on the fact that Stephen was listed as single in the 1850 census.

The IGI lists the Stephen B. who was Archelaus’s son as marrying three times, to Martha Wampler, Catherine Graybeal Thomas, and Jeanie Dreanan. (No dates on them, and none of these marriages appears in the Grayson Co. records.)

Grayson Co. birth records list the birth on 12 Mar 1856 of Mary Easter Cornutt, father Stephen B. Cornutt, mother Martha Gilmore.

These Grayson County birth records list the mother by her name at the time of the child's birth (almost all of them list the mother and father by given name only; if there is a surname listed it is usually the same for both), so it usually isn't a maiden name unless the child was born out of wedlock, and in that case the child is usually given the mother’s surname. So Gilmore is probably her middle name. If she had been previously married to a Mr. Wampler, though, she might have taken her maiden name as a middle name.
Census
1860 census of Grayson Co., Virginia, Elk Creek district, p. 17, records as dwelling #118, family #114:
Cornutt, Stephen B., 38, miller; Martha G., 41; Rosamund J., 7; Mary E., 4; Rush F., 2; Wampler, Martha J., 18, seamstress.
(This census record may be the source of the LDS Ancestral File submission which records Stephen as being married to a Martha Wampler. It may be that Martha G. was previously married to a Mr. Wampler, and that Martha J. is her daughter by that marriage. There are not, however, any Wampler marriage records at all in Grayson County.)
