Notes for Tilden Turman
His gravestone inscription as published in Cemeteries of Indian Valley District gives his years of birth and death as 12 Nov 1887 to 20 May 1968, but that doesn’t make sense, given that he married in Sept 1898. You don’t have a boy who is not quite 11 years old getting married.

I am going to assume that somewhere along the line there was a mistranscription, and enter his year of birth as 1877.
Notes for Lucinda “Lucy” A. Quesenberry
Some family trees refer to her as Lutitia or Lute, but I can find no official record that uses that name. She appears in the censuses as Lucinda and Lucy.
Census
1910 census of Carroll Co., Virginia, Pine Creek district, enumerated 17 April, lists on p. 2B as family #28:
Hurst, William C., 79, farmer; Nancy, wife, 76, first marriage for both, married 58 years; Quesenberry, Lucy A., granddaughter, 31, divorced, mother of 1 child, 1 living; Locky B., great-granddaughter, 8. All born Ky Ky Ky.
Census Notes for Tilden & Lucinda “Lucy” A. (Family)
1920 census of Floyd Co., Virginia, Indian Valley district, enumerated 17 Jan, lists on p. 10A:
Turman, Tilden, 44, farm laborer; Lucinda, 42; Velma L., dau, 8; Nannie S., dau, 6; Roy, son, 4; John M., son, 2. All born Va/Va/Va.

There is no dwelling or household number by this family, so they inherit the 176/176 numbers from the family of Thomas and Umbretta Quesenberry above. Tildon is one of only two families on the page listed as renting instead of owning, and with occupation as farm laborer rather than farmer. So he was apparently renting a home on the property of Thomas Quesenberry and working for him. The family number should at least have been bumped, though. And the dwelling number too unless both families were living in the same structure.
