Census Notes for Isaiah Wilson
1850 census of Morgan Co., Ky, lists as family #228 (next door to the family of Abijah and Catherine Wilson):
Isiah Wilson, 38, farmer, b. Oh; Jeremiah, 60, b. Va; Elizabeth, 62, b. Va; Robert Smith, 22, b. Ky.

1860 census of Rowan Co., Ky, lists as family #131:
Wilson, Isaiah, 48, farmer, Ohio; Sarah J. , 22, wife, Ky; Jeremiah, 8, Ky; Isaac, 5, Ky; Abijiah, 3, Ky; Lucinda, 1, Ky.

The statewide index to the 1870 census lists an Isaiah Wilson and a Jeremiah Wilson in Montgomery Co., Ky, Aaron’s Run precinct, pages 228 and 229. I have not checked the microfilm, and the index does not list the ages, but biographical material about Cora Wilson Stewart suggests that those listings are for this Isaiah and either his father or his son.
Notes for Isaiah & Sarah Jane (Family)
Morgan County marriage records list a license issued to Isiah Wilson and Sarah Jane Wilson on March 17, 1851, no return.

This family is not directly related to me. Their only known connections are that their grandson Burl (son of Bige) married my great aunt Mahala Susan Hall, and their grandson Lee (also a son of Bige) married my first cousin twice-removed Mary Stidham. Ordinarily I would not attempt to enter a complete family group for such an indirect link. But since Dr. Jeremiah Wilson was one of the most prominent citizens of Rowan County, and his daughter Cora Wilson Stewart was probably the most famous resident that Morehead has ever had, I am entering the entire Isaiah Wilson family mainly to be of assistance to visitors to my Rowan County web site.
