His WW I draft registration card, filed 12 Sep 1918, records Robert Lawson, age 18, residence Triplett, Rowan Co., Ky, born 16 Apr 1900, occupation daily labor, nearest relative Hanah Etta Lawson, same address.

He was recorded in the 1910 census as age 12, so the year of birth is probably wrong. (I have not found his parents in the 1900 census.)
