Notes for Alva Lee Foster
His WW I draft registration card, filed 12 Sep 1918, records Alvie Lee Foster, age 39, residence Morehead, Rowan Co., Ky, occupation timber buyer (?), employer Imperial Wheel Co., Flint, Michigan, nearest relative Sallie Foster, wife, same address.

His death certificate28 records Alva L. Foster, age 47 years 0 months 2 days, born 5 Aug 1879 in Indiana, died 7 Aug 1926 in Kenova, Wayne Co., West Virginia, married, lumberman, father Alonzo Foster, mother’s maiden name Sarah McClane, both born in Indiana, cause of death chronic parenchymative (?) nephritis, informant Mrs. A. L. Foster, burial in Bradley graveyard, Morehead, Ky.
Notes for Sallie L. Jenkins
Her gravestone has only the years, 1886 - 1969, but she was probably really born later than 1886. She was recorded in the 1910 census as age 22, in the 1920 census as age 33, and in the 1930 census as age 44, suggesting a drift towards thinking of herself as older.

She may be the Selie Jenkins recorded in the 1900 census of Morgan Co., Ky as age 13, born May 1887, daughter of William H. Jenkins, b. Jan 1859, who is recorded with his third wife Serilda, listed as married 0 years. But I am uncertain, since Selie is most often seen as a variant spelling of Celia.

She is not the Sarah E. Jenkins, born Oct 1887 in Morgan Co., daughter of Daniel Jenkins and Missouri Blevins, who married her cousin Thomas Blevins on 14 Apr 1904 in Morgan Co. He died about 1909, but Sarah was recorded in both the 1910 and 1920 censuses with their children, still widowed and still a Blevins.

What I need to do is find their marriage record, which is probably at about page 30 or so in Book 10. (Book 9, which I’ve copied in its entirety, ends in Oct 1916.)
