The West Virginia deaths index lists Hiram P. Lambert, age 76 years 4 months 26 days, born 22 April 1877 in Kentucky, died 18 Sep 1953 in Madison, Boone Co., West Virginia, occupation retired railroad conductor, widowed, father Wyatt Lambert, mother’s maiden name Mary Ann Trent, burial in Linville at Flat Creek.

In 1930 he was listed in Lincoln Co., West Virginia, age 53, widower, b. WV WV WV, with the family of Charles C. Clark, as a visitor.

The relationship between Hiram and Charles was not given, but they were both first cousins once removed on the Lambert side, Hiram being a son of Wyatt Lambert, and Charles being a grandson of Wyatt's sister Rebecca Lambert, third wife of Smith Trent, and half first cousins on the Trent side, Hiram being a grandson of Smith Trent and his first wife Mary Cline.

Rebecca (Lambert) Trent, age 90, who was both Hiram’s aunt and his step grandmother, was also in the household.
