In 1930 he was listed in Morgan Co., Ky with his son Sam (from his marriage to Mary Belle Poston), as Pete Link, father, 65, age at first marriage 25, widowed, b. Ky Ky Ky.

Rowan Co. marriage book 5, p. 177, records the marriage on 1 Feb 1905 of S. P. Link, age 33, 3rd marriage, residence Farmers, Ky, born in Menifee Co., Ky, timberman, to Lucy Nickell (on license - name on minister’s return is July), age 15, first marriage, born in Bath Co., Ky, father born in Indiana, by H. G. Alderson, witnesses Fielden Green and Chas Nickell.

1910 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Farmers precinct, enumerated 14 May, lists on p. 20A as family #337/344:
Link, Peter, age unknown, 3rd marriage; Lucy, wife, 19, first marriage, married 6 years, no children.
The City Directory of Muncie, Indiana for 1913 lists Peter Link with wife Lucy living at 1521 S. High, working at Ball Bros. The 1919 directory lists them as living at 111 W. 8th, both working at Ball Bros.
1920 census of Delaware Co., Indiana, Muncie ward 6, enumerated 8 Jan, lists on p. 8A as family #155/189, at 113 W. Eighth St:
Heflin, Wallace, 26, laborer at clay pot co; Minnie, wife, 22; Link, Simon, roomer, 45, married, cook at restaurant.
(Note that this is next door to where the 1919 city directory listed Peter and Lucy Link as living. There is a Ralstin family from Virgina at 111 in this census.) At the same street address but with their own family number are the family of Melvin Wallace and his wife Haley, who is Wallace Heflin’s sister. Wallace Heflin’s mother was Cassie Link, so Simon Peter Link is his uncle. Lucy’s brother James was also married to Wallace’s sister Ida.
