Notes for Nathan Anderson Williams
The Morgan Co., Ky annual deaths report for 1876 records Nathan A. Williams, age 53, died July 1876 of consumption, son of Thornton and Jane Williams, born in and resident of Morgan Co., Ky.

His gravestone, however, gives his birth date as 10 May 1819 and his death date as 22 Sep 1875. That birthdate is consistent with census records. The date death is most likely wrong, though. (Stones were often erected years after the death, and the date misremembered.)
Notes for Rachel M. Perry
Her death certificate records Rachel M. Williams, age 89, born 13 Oct 1824 in Morgan Co., Ky, died 6 Jan 1914 in Elk Fork, Morgan Co., Ky, widow, father Thomas D. Perry, born in Virginia, mother’s maiden name Martha B. Wells, born in Bath Co., Ky, cause of death senile debillity, infomant J. B. Williams, Dingus, Ky, burial at John B. Williams’, her home place.
Notes for Nathan Anderson & Rachel M. (Family)
I cannot find a record of this marriage in Morgan Co. They were probably married there and the record was lost or misindexed, but it is possible that they were married in another county, perhaps Bath, where Rachel’s mother’s family was from.
Census
1850 census of Morgan Co., Ky, enumerated 27 July, lists on p. 4 as family #30:
Anderson Williams, 30, farmer; Rachael, 25; Mary, 7; Thomas, 4; Wallis, 3; Martha, 2/12. All born in Kentucky.

Rachel’s parents are recorded two households below.

1860 census of Morgan Co., Ky, district 1, West Liberty P.O., enumerated 27 June, lists on p. 43 as family #261/258:
Anderson Williams, 41, farmer; Rachel, 35; Mary F., 15; Thomas, 13; Wallace, 12; Martha, 10; Ann, 8; Elizabeth, 6; Margarett, 4; Benjamin, 1. All born in Ky.

1870 census of Morgan Co., Ky, River precinct, enumerated 6 July, lists on p. 2 as family #12:
Williams, Anderson, 51, farmer; Rachael, 45; Thomas, 24; Wallace M., 22; Anne E., 18; Margaret, 15; Sarah, 13; Benjamin, 10; Amanda, 8; John, 4. All born in Ky.

It is curious that the daughter Sarah did not appear in the 1860 census. Some identify her with the daughter recorded as Elizabeth age 6 in 1860.

1880 census of Morgan Co., Ky, Elk Fork precinct, enumerated 12 June, lists on p. 19 as family #136/137:
Williams, Rachel M., 55, farming; Margaret, dau, 25, single; Susan, 18, dau; John D., 14, son; Benj F., 21, son, married, farmer; Rebecca J., 21, dau-in-law, married. All born Ky Ky Ky.

The “D” is clear for the middle initial of John, but later records report his name as John Burns Williams. Perhaps a D was misheard as B.

The next household is headed by Rachel and Anderson’s son Thomas, listed as age 34 with wife Prudence. Also on this page are families headed by their son Wallace, and by Mary J. Williams, widow of Anderson’s brother Richard.
