Census
1900 census of Bath Co., Ky, White Sulphur precinct, enumerated 19 June, lists on p. 18A as family #346:
Staton, Bluford, 29, b. Nov 1870, farmer; Amanda, wife, 21, b. Dec 1878, married 6 years, mother of 1 child, 1 living; Bertha, dau, 1, b. Nov 1898; Newton P., brother, 15, b. June 1884. All born Ky Ky Ky.

1910 census of Montgomery Co., Ky, Harts precinct, enumerated 27 April, lists on p. 6A as family #102/103, on Hinkston Pike:
Pierrat, Clark, 30, farmer; Dollie, wife, 20, first marriage for both, married 4 years, mother of 2 children, 2 living; Elmer, son, 3; unnamed daughter, 0/12. Staton, Pierce, hired man, 22, single, farm laborer. All born Ky Ky Ky.
Census Notes for Lucille Thomas
1900 census of Montgomery Co., Ky, district 2, enumerated 5 June, lists on p. 5A as family #80/81:
McCluer, Wat, 42, b. Mar 1858, farm laborer; Nanna, wife, 32, b. Sep 1867, married 3 years, mother of 1 child, 1 living; Lilian, dau, 9/12, b. Sep 1899; Thomes, Liceal, boarder, 11, b. Nov 1899 (f). All born Ky Ky Ky.

This is the family of Walter A. McClure and Nannie Thomas. Although this is Walter’s second marriage, Lucille is unlikely to be his daughter, because her surname is given as Thomas. She is also somewhat unlikely to have been born out-of-wedlock to Nannie, since Nannie is listed as the mother of only one child so far, which would be Lillian. (Also, Lucille’s relationship is not recorded as stepdaughter.) She is probably a niece or some other relative of Nannie’s. On the other hand, in 1910 Nannie was listed as the mother of 4 living children, see below, and if Lucille is not one of them, the fourth is unaccounted for.

1910 census of Montgomery Co., Ky, Mt. Sterling ward 4, enumerated 22 April, lists on p. 6A as family #118/139, on Sycamore St:
McClure, Walter A., 53, second marriage, laborer at odd jobs; Nannie M., wife, 42, first marriage, married 13 years, mother of 5 children, 4 living; Luciel, dau, 19, sewer at glove factory; Lillian B., dau, 11; Willie T., son, 5; Georgia F., dau, 3. All born Ky Ky Ky.
Census Notes for Newton Pierce & Lucille (Family)
1920 census of Bourbon Co., Ky, North Middletown precinct, enumerated 7 Jan, lists on p. 6A as family #23, on Little Road:
Staton, Pearce, 33, laborer; Lucille, wife, 30; Russell, son, 11; Francis, dau, 6; Vandola, dau, 5; Stanley, son 1 6/12. All born Ky Ky Ky.

Russell may be a son of Lucille by a previous husband, since Pierce was recorded as single in the 1910 census. On the other hand, perhaps Russell age is just wrong, or Pierce should have been recorded as married in 1910.

1930 census of Scott Co., Ky, Great Crossings precinct, enumerated 25 April, lists on p. 9A as family #184/241:
Staton, Pearse, 42, age at first marriage 19, laborer on farm; Lucille, wife, 39, age at first marriage 16; Russel, son, 22; Vandola, dau, 15; Stanley, son, 12; Helen, dau, 8.

1940 census of Bourbon Co., Ky, Flat Rock precinct, ED 9-10, enumerated 5 April, lists on p. 2A as family #22, on Plum Lick Pike:
Staton, Perice, 46, farm laborer; Lucille, wife, 49; Russell, son, 31, single, farm laborer; Nannie L., dau, 6; Stanley, son, 21, married, salesman at retail grocery; Virginia, dau-in-law, 17, living in Mt. Sterling, Montgomery Co., Ky in 1935. All born in Kentucky, all except Virginia living in rural Scott Co., Ky in 1935.
