Raleigh Co., (West) Viriginia birth records list Solomon Meadows, born 23 Mar 1858, son of David and Mahala Meadows.
Judging by censuses, he sometimes went by Meadors and sometimes by Meadows. He usually gave his birthplace as West Virginia, but since West Virginia was not created until 1863, he presumably meant the part of Virginia that later became West Virginia.
His death certificate records Wm Meadows, age 73 years 4 months 16 days, born 16 Mar 1850 in Ky, died 8 Aug 1925 in Salt Lick, Bath Co., Ky, married, laborer, father David Meadows, mother’s maiden name Mahala Lillie, both born in Va, cause of death cardiac asthma, contributory cause Brights Disease, informant Mrs. W. M. Meadows, Salt Lick, Ky, burial in Jones Cemetery. (The “W. M.” is presumably just Luley’s way of abbreviating William.)
The reported birthplace of Kentucky differs from all the census records.

Her age was given as 6 in the 1870 census and age 14 in 1880.
