1880 census of Scioto Co., Ohio, Lower Nile township, enumerated 7 June, lists on p. 8 as family #70:
Brown, Wiley J., 38, farmer, b. Ky Va Va; Dolly, 34, wife, b. Ky Ky Ky; Thomas, son, 15; Nichlas, 11, son; Shadric, 8, son; Sarah L., 6, dau; Dempsy L., 3, dau; Columbus, 9/12, b. Sep, son. All children born Ky Ky Ky.
Many of their children married in Rowan Co. in the 1890’s, so they must have returned to Kentucky before long.
