It appears that Arvil and Ruth divorced, remarried, and then divorced again, because the Kentucky marriages index lists the marriage on 6 April 1986 of Arvil L. Law, previous marriage ended by divorce, and Ruthie F. Law, age 60. Ruthie’s previous marital status is recorded as never married, but I can’t find any unmarried Ruth Law of the same age, so it is likely incorrect.
