I do not whether Nancy had died and Elizabeth is a second wife, or if it is just Nancy’s middle name.

In 1900 James is listed with his youngest son Reuben as James McClain, father, 86, b. Apr 1814, Ky S.C. --, widowed. Parthenia is also in the household with her husband William Bailey, married 5 years.
