The Kentucky birth index lists A. Alfrey, born 19 June 1922 in Morgan Co., mother’s maiden name Alice Morris.
In the 1930 census, he appears as Junior, age 7, with a brother Corbit age 5. In the 1940 census, he is listed as Corbie, age 17, with a brother Junior age 15. Based on the death records, the 1940 census is correct (or at least consistent with their adult records), so the ages were apparently erroneously swapped in the 1930 census.

The Ohio death index lists Corbie Alfrey, age 67, born 29 May 1922, died 31 Mar 1990 in Mansfield, Richland Co., Ohio, divorced, occupation carpenter.
A brief death notice in the Lexington Herald-Leader of Monday, April 2, 1990 reported “MOREHEAD -- Corbie Alfrey, 67, of Mansfield, Ohio, formerly of Morehead, a retired carpenter, husband of Velma Donohue Alfrey, died Saturday in Mansfield. Services 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lane-Stucky Funeral Home. Visitation 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.”
