Notes for George Andy Wescott
His WW I draft registration card, filed 12 Sep 1918, records George Andy Wescott, age 43, residence Bangor, Rowan Co., Ky, born 30 May 1875, occupation farmer, self-employed, nearest relative Maggie Wescott, Bangor, Rowan Co., Ky.

(He had a daughter Maggie, but she would have been only 14 in 1919, so it is unlikely to be the Maggie he meant.)

His death certificate records George Andy Wescott, age 49 years 6 months 2 days, born 30 May 1875 in Ky, died 2 Dec 1924 in Carter Co., Ky, widowed, farmer, father John Wescott, mother’s maiden name Sarah McKensie, both born in Ky, cause of death pulmonary tuberculosis, informant Jim Conley, Soldier, Ky, burial in Paragon, Ky.
Notes for Mollie Pettit
Her gravestone says “Mollie Wescott died 1915”, but I cannot find her in the Kentucky death records. (I also cannot find a birth record for their youngest daughter Myrtle, so it is possible that the 1920 census is incorrect about Myrtle’s birthplace, and the family spent some time between 1912 to 1915 in another state.)
