Coleman Reynolds, father Isaac Friley, mother’s maiden name Rachel Lee, both born in Virgnia, cause of death cerebral hemorrhage, informant Mrs. G. O. Rogers, Spurr Road, Lexington, Ky, burial in Lexington Cemetery.

1880 census of Letcher Co., Ky, Whitesburg district, enumerated 16 June, lists on p. 10 as a servant with the family of Henry C. Bates:
Lee, Hortence, 19, servant, b. Va Va Va; Irven, 6/12, b. Dec, Ky Ky Va, boarder.

Two households above is the family of Joseph Reynolds, whom Hortense would later marry after she separated from Solomon Baker.

Reynolds, Joseph C., 51, married 35 years, b. Va Va Va, farmer; Lee, Hortence, servant, 50, b. Aug 1849, Va Va Va, widowed, mother of 9 children, 9 living; Coleman, son, 7, b. Nov 1892; Aggie, dau, 5, b. Oct 1894; James, son, 4, b. July 1895; Margie, dau, 1, b. Sep 1891. All children born Ky Va Va.

It is unclear whether the surname of the children is meant to be Lee or Reynolds, but probably Lee. These four plus the five children of Solomon Baker would add up to nine.

1910 census of Pittsburg Co., Oklahoma, Canadian township, enumerated 5 May, lists on p. 13A as family #239:
Reynolds, Josph C., 61, b. Va Va Va, farmer; Hartence, wife, 49, second marriage for both, married 18 years, mother of 11 children, 9 living; Coleman, son, 17; Angie, dau, 14; James M., son, 12; Margie, dau, 10, Amanda, dau, 6. All children born Ky Va Va.

(Notice that Hortense has gone from 50 to 49 in the decade! This age is more consistent with other records, though.)

1920 census of Letcher Co., Ky, Baker district, enumerated 3 Jan, lists on p. 2A as family #26:
