Notes for Cynthia Claudia Jones
It is uncertain whether she was given the name Cynthia Claudia at birth, or just chose to change her first name as an adult. I have seen no records with both names together or even a middle initial.
Paul French, son of Cynthia’s stepson xxx, wrote in an email of 25 Feb “My grandfather's second marriage was to a woman known to our family as Claudia Caudill. It was her second marriage as well.
Claudia's previous husband was Jesse P. Caudill, and it appears that throughout the first half of her life, she went by the name Cynthia. Cynthia/Claudia and Jesse P. Caudill were divorced in Iowa sometime between 1930 when they appear in the U.S. Census and about 1938 when she married my grandfather, Frank K. French.
She died 6 Jan 1980 in Harris Co., TX, and burial is in Grand View Memorial Park, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, Texas, 281-479-6076, Garden of the Good Shepherd, Lot 149, Space 4 (Frank is in space 3). Spaces were purchased in 1968 by Geraldine Simmons, the youngest of three children she had with Jesse P. Caudill.”
