Notes for Esau Hall
The Kentucky death index lists Esau Hall, age 85, died 19 Feb 1960 in Pike Co., residence same.
Notes for Phenia Osborn
Most records have her name as Fena, Fina, Fenie, Phina, or some such variant. Her son Mahlon’s death certificate records her name as Pherina, and the 1880 census as Uphenia. It is hard to say which of those two formal names is the actual source of the informal name.

The SSDI lists Fenie F. Hall, born 16 Apr 1878, died 15 Feb 1972, last residence Pikeville, Pike Co., Ky.

The reported birthdate is very likely incorrect, since she was listed in the 1880 census as age 5, and in the 1900 census as age 25, born Feb 1875.
