His obituary in the Macomb Daily reported “George A. Sexton, 73, of Harrison Township, died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center. He was born Feb. 21, 1934, in Roseville.

Mr. Sexton married Mildred Ann Brazelton on July 30, 1955, in Fraser. The couple had been living in Harrison Township for the past 40 years. He was employed as a conductor for more than 24 years with ConAir Railroad. He enjoyed painting cars and trucks and loved going up north in Michigan.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred; children, Alvin Belna (Janet) Sexton of Warren, Tammy Denise Marcoux of Harrison Township and James Eldon (Michelle) Sexton of Harrison Township; grandchildren, Anthony and Joseph Sexton, Robin, Robert and Jacqueline Marcoux and Tyler and Reese Sexton; great-grandson, Gage Warner; brothers, Eldon Sexton of Mount Clemens, William (Nancy) Sexton of Fraser and Duane (Addie) Sexton of Harrison Township; and sisters, Mildred Pierfelice of Fraser, Eleanor Beyerchen of Roseville, Louise (Luther) MacGilvary of Chesterfield Township and Florence Pence of Florida. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Elizabeth (nee Collinsworth) Sexton; and brothers, Tom, Jim and Bob.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Ave., Mount Clemens, with the Rev. Melvin Hiler officiating. Private burial will follow at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.”
