His obituary in the Morehead News reported “Arnold I. Lewis, age 60, of CCC Trail, Elliottville, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2008, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.

He was born February 2, 1948, in Elliott County, Kentucky, son of the late Elmer and Lorene Howard Lewis. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Lewis, and two sisters, Vina Lewis and Anna Lou Lewis.

Arnold is survived by his wife, Tina Fraley Lewis; one son, Terry Ray Lewis and wife Jennifer of Morehead, Kentucky; two daughters, Vickie Edens and husband Scott of Morehead, Kentucky, and Tonya Lewis and fiancé Jason Ramey of Morehead, Kentucky, and four grandchildren, Shelby Edens, Abby Edens, Jacob Lewis and Sidney Lewis.

Other survivors include three brothers, Larry Lewis of Midland, Kentucky, Denzil Lewis of Richmond, Virginia, and Delbert Lewis of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, and six sisters, Edna Wetherington of Raleigh, North Carolina, Earnestine Fraley of Haldeman, Kentucky, Jean Caskey of Sandy Hook, Kentucky, Julia Caskey of West Liberty, Kentucky, Anita Lewis of Paintsville, Kentucky, and Lynn Day of Beaver, West Virginia.

Arnold was a heavy equipment operator for Ruth Paving and East Kentucky Paving for over 40 years. He was a member of the East End Church of God.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ray Glover officiating. Burial will follow in the Fraley Cemetery on Kegley Ridge.

Pallbearers will be Larry Lewis, Denzil Lewis, Delbert Lewis, Scottie Edens, Jason Ramey, Richard Purnell, Billy Caskey, and Benny Stamper.

Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Fraley, Jackie Ruth, Tony Lewis, Larry Dale Lewis, James Caskey, and Chris Day.
