1900 census of Rowan Co., Ky, Hoggtown precinct, enumerated 8 June, lists on p. 6B as family #100/101:
Boyd, William, 59, b. July 1840, Va Va Va, farmer; Mary, wife, 53, b. Mar 1847, Ky Ky Ky, married 39 years, mother of 10 children, 10 living; Farley, son, 29, b. June 1870; Floid, son, 18, b. Feb 1882; Andy, son, 15, b. Sep 1884; Lilla, dau, 11, b. Dec 1888. All children born Ky Va Ky.
Notice that the daughter Farlena has become a son Farley. The next two households are headed by their sons Wesley age 31, b. June 1869, and Jackson age 21, b. Mar 1879. (It is interesting that they named a son born in 1879 Andrew Jackson, started calling him by his middle name, and then named another son born in 1884 Andy.)
