Notes for John H. Christian
The Ohio deaths database lists John H. Christian, age 72, residence Ashtabula, died 3 May 1965 at long-term care facilities, Geneva, Ashtabula Co., widowed.
Census
In 1900 he was recorded (incorrectly) as John Stegall, age 5, born Sep 1894, with his mother and her mother. Jennie had gone back to her maiden name, and the entire household was recorded under that surname.

In 1910 he was recorded as Johnie Martin, age 15, nephew, with his uncle J. L. Martin, husband of Mottie’s sister Ida.
Notes for Lola Riddle [Truesdale]
Her obituary reported “Mrs. Lola Christian, age 76, of 516 Pearl Street, Ypsilanti, Michigan, died suddenly October 18, 1976 at Beyer Memorial Hospital. She was born March 25, 1900 in Morehead, Kentucky, the daughter of Joseph and Amanda Riddle Gregory. She married John H. Christian October 23, 1917 in Morehead, Kentucky. He preceded her in death July 1962. She came to Ypsilanti in 1943. She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church of Ypsilanti. Surviving are two sons; Roy Elwood and James of Pinckney, two daughters; Mrs. Paul (Maxine) Rosasco of Ann Arbor, and Betty Jean Christian at home. Six grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Anna Lee White on November 1, 1945. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Moore Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James R. Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Ann Arbor.”

According to her daughter Maxine, to whom I spoke on the phone in 2011, Lola was raised by Amanda’s parents, and never knew her birth father. Her son Roy’s obituary records him as the son of John and Lola Truesdale Christian.

The SSDI lists Lola Christian, born 25 Mar 1901, died Oct 1976, SSN issued in Kentucky before 1951.

The Michigan death index lists Lola Christian, born 25 Mar 1900, died 18 Oct 1976, residence and place of death Ypsilanti, Washtenaw Co., Mich.

Since she was recorded as 18 in the 1920 census, and 27 in the 1930 census, the 1901 date seems more likely. (It may even be 1902.) Also, she is not recorded in the 1900 census, taken in June. (And unlike 1910, I do have 1900 census records for her grandparents.)
Census
I cannot find Lola in the 1910 census, as either Gregory or Riddle. She is not listed with her parents. (Attribution to this family is from her obituary.) But I also cannot find her maternal grandparents in that census year, so she may have been living with them.
