In 1900 he was listed in Price township, Langlade Co., Wisconsin, enumerated 6 June, as Elester Barker, age 29, born Oct 1870, Ky Ky Ky, married 7 years, farm laborer, boarding at a large hotel or rooming house (22 unrelated boarders, all male, mostly farm laborers) run by Fred and Emeline Beckman.

(It looks like Sallie’s relationship was originally entered as Sis-in-law, and then the “sisin” was blotted out leaving only “law”. She is probably a half-sister of Luster, whose mother remarried to Meredish Click.) Luster was off working in Langlade Co., Wisconsin, see his notes.
