Her obituary in the Anderson, Indiana Herald Bulletin reported:

“Ruby M. Bussel

July 21, 1926 - Jan. 8, 2006

Ruby M. (Caudill) Bussel, 79, Anderson, died Jan. 8, 2006, at St. John’s Medical Center after a sudden illness.  

She was born July 21, 1926, in Ashland, Ky., and lived in this area most of her life. She retired in 1986 as a salesperson at Star China after 20 years of service.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star 154, Bethesda White Shrine of Jerusalem 11, Social Order of Beauceant and the Social Order of Ameranth.

She is survived by her sons, Larry and wife Jeanne Bussel of Anderson, Greg and wife Sherry Bussel of Greenfield and William D. Bussel, PhD. and wife Anne of Ohio; two sisters, Oma Dailey of Eustis, Fla., and Rose and husband Dr. Howard Simpson of Chattanooga, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren, Zachary Bussel, Wendy Ouilez, Brandy Townsend, Brandon Bussel, Evan Bussel, Summer Jarnagin, Brandon Jarnagin, Theresa Alvarez, Diane Bussel and David Bussel; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, whom she married March 10, 1946, William A. Bussel, who died Jan. 11, 2001; parents, Willy and Eva Ellen (Shields) Caudill; son, Ronald E. Bussel; and three brothers, Stanley Caudill, Arvel Caudill and Thomas Caudill.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, with Pastor Dennis Zirkle officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the South Chapel. There will be an Order of Eastern Star service at 6 p.m. today.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.”
